Today I am being Brave once more, as I am sharing my own poetry here for today’s Poetry Friday celebration.
Starting Over
How many times
can I try again?
How many times
can I start anew?
How many times
can I begin something fresh?
How many times
can I go ahead once more?
How many times
can I walk a path
that I've walked before?
How many times
can I take a road
that I've traveled so often?
As many times as I need to
because each time I do
I learn something new.
Poetry Friday is being hosted by children's author, Laura Purdie Salas. Click on her name to visit her site for lots of poetry posts.
Yay for being brave! This is a wonderful poem, full of truths we can all relate to. I love all the questions, too. Life is one big series of starting-overs, isn't it? Thank you for sharing!
ReplyDeleteWhat's that saying, "Success is falling down 7 times and getting up 8"? Proud of you for getting up and writing this poem to encourage others.
ReplyDeleteI love the repetition, a sound way of questioning ourselves to keep on keeping on. I'm glad you wrote and shared, glad to read it "for me" at the beginning of my day! Thank you!
ReplyDeleteI felt myself cheering you on with each line. Thanks for the inspiring poem!!
ReplyDeletePerefect. Thank you for being brave and sharing. Some of us needed to read this.

ReplyDeletebecause each time I do
I learn something new."
Love the spirit in your poem, thanks for sharing it with us!
Three cheers for writing and triple cheers for sharing! Wonderful poem, indeed. We must be poetry soul mates as my "How Many Times" poem from last April could almost be a companion to yours! https://wonderingandwondering.wordpress.com/2018/04/30/how-many-times-nationalpoetrymonth-napowrimo
ReplyDeleteOh, I love this thought! Poetry soul mates! What a beautiful synchronicity- I'm writing about Soul Mates!
DeleteI love these questions and the poem that was created. Thanks for being brave.
ReplyDeleteThank you Jone. I feel like my mind is full of questions. Poetry is becoming a way for me to answer those questions.
